MESSAGE SUMMARY: Many of us, while seeking to know the Lord better, also want to know His will in our lives and in the world while going deeper in our relationship. Also, we want to be filled with the Holy Spirit. In Mathew 6:19-21, Jesus is telling us that all that we have comes from God; God has expectations for our good management of His resources in our personal relationship with Him: “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.". To this end, God is saying to some of us to start being responsible for the material things that He has provided. Also, we are to be good managers of His gifts. God is telling us that if we can’t be responsible for the earthly treasures that He has provided us, then how can we be responsible for His Spiritual treasures in a deepening personal relationship with Him.?
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Loneliness. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Presence. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).
