Forgiveness

The scripture lesson for Palm/Passion Sunday, April 14 was Luke 19:29-47. Rev. Laura Mayo gave the proclamation. The choir sang “O Vos Omnes” by Cristóbal de Morales. 

"Jesus in his life claimed you could be forgiven without any sacrifice. He threw forgiveness around like a farmer throwing seed. People don’t even ask for it before he offers it. Jesus says many things on his way to Jerusalem. He said nothing about dying for our sins. He offered forgiveness and he never connected it to suffering or death."
