Charged: The Power of a Spirit Led Life
Who is the Holy Spirit?
Genesis 1:2 & 26, John 3:6-8, Romans 8:1-4
- The Holy Spirit is God. (Genesis 1:2 & 26)
- The active presence of God.
- The revealer of God’s grace.
- The giver of true life in Christ.
- How do we “flesh out” an understanding of the Holy Spirit? (John 3:6-8)
- God the Father: He created your skin.
- God the Son: He saved your skin.
- God the Spirit: He gets under your skin.
Key thought: The Holy Spirit is the indwelling presence of God in the person of the believer.
- So what does this mean for you? (Romans 8:1-4)
When you are alive in Christ and led by the Spirit you begin to:
- …see what God sees.
- …hear what God hears.
- …say what God says.
- …go where God wants you to go.
Final Thought: The power of a Spirit led life is one in which you follow in being an active presence of God, a revealer of God’s grace, and a giver of true life in Christ.
