Sarah was diagnosed when She was 15 making her uninsurable for life insurance and putting her in a position of one day needing a kidney transplant. PKD currently affects 600,000 Americans and is the 4th leading cause for renal failure requiring dialyses to live. The first leading cause is diabetes. By 2028 the leading medical epidemic facing middle income countries will be obesity followed by depression.
