Take a minute, step back and love yourself as your best friend, then say what you would say in the way you would to them. If you spoke to friends as you do to yourself you’d have no friends at all, so rewrite the inner voice that makes you feel weak or small. Clearly picture where you’re at and any challenges you face, then lovingly give yourself advice having gained a little space. Use words you’d use for others, and cut out words you would not use, guide yourself with love and care, not anger and abuse.
