III. Real courage is best reflected in vulnerable, sacrificial love.
FOR DISCUSSION AND REFLECTION
- Do you have any phobias? Do you remember how they started?
- Tell about a time when knowing God's love helped make you more courageous.
- The popular verse, "We love because He first loved us" is found in this morning's passage. Why does the order of who loved first matter?
- Why can't this kind of fearless love simply be a passive, warm affection towards others?
- What fear do you need to release so its grip on you loosens? Where do you need the assurance of God's love to overcome that fear?
- What is God saying to you through todays scripture?
