From Stepping Back to Leaning In - Deatrice Gautreaux | 1905

Deatrice Gautreaux is an Agile coach at Accenture | SolutionsIQ and a champion for the Women in Agile movement. Being part of any women’s movement is a tremendous change for her. “As a young black girl raised in the south, segregation was a painful thing…” So Gautreaux made the intentional choice not to separate herself from the whole: “When it came to women movements, I took a step back.”  

After an eye-opening experience at Accenture | SolutionsIQ’s annual employee gathering, Gautreaux was able to create for herself a new, empowering story about participating in the Women in Agile movement. She shares how the fabulous Lyssa Adkins gave her some advice for finding the confidence to lead life on purpose and the self-worth that she always had in herself since she was a child.
