Dr. Chad Wilson of the East Valley Institute of Technology joins Sally Harrison to talk about the growth and EVIT.
Dr. Wilson has served as EVIT’s interim superintendent since January. He was appointed as Superintendent in July, 2019. He has worked in Arizona public education for 25 years as a middle school history teacher, principal, associate superintendent and superintendent.
Born and raised in Tucson, Dr. Wilson’s doctoral degree from the University of Arizona is in education policy and administration. He also holds a master’s degree from Northern Arizona University and bachelor’s from UofA.
Dr. Wilson and his family reside in Scottsdale.
EVIT is Arizona’s oldest public Career Technical Education District (CTED), providing career training to high school students and adults in 11 East Valley communities. EVIT operates two central campuses in Mesa, branch campuses at Apache Junction High School and in Fountain Hills, and provides funding for satellite CTE programs in East Valley high schools.
