"There's no reason we shouldn't live in beauty." This simple sentiment lies at the heart of the new nonprofit, Canby Area Beautification (CAB), whose mission is to make sure Canby lives up to its nickname, "The Garden Spot." And it's also a sentiment that motivates artist Cathy Rae Smith, founding member and president of CAB, and also the visionary behind the sprawling mural outside the Canby Public Library.
