A Gardening CommunityGalatians: Set Free to Live FreeNovember 24, 2019
I’m not really much of a gardener. I don’t even like to mow my lawn. In fact, I have someone who takes care of my yard, keeping it healthy and looking good for me. My father-in-law, though, loves flowers – growing them, caring for them, and arranging them. He enjoys puttering in the yard, cultivating beds and pots full of colorful beauty. It takes time, effort, and energy, but the results are definitely worth it! So it is in our lives as followers of Jesus. As we continue in our study of Galatians this week, the Apostle Paul begins to get very practical! What does it look like to live by the Spirit, to walk by the Spirit, to bear fruit by the work of the Spirit? In this message we look at the first half of Galatians 6 together to learn what it means, practically speaking, to cultivate a life that bears fruit and displays the beauty of Jesus to our families, to our brothers and sisters in Christ, and to our community.
