It's a voice you're sure to know - Mark Lee, veteran of 14 Olympic games. Mark has covered a variety of Olympic sports during his career, including Athletics, Women’s Hockey, Figure Skating, Beach and Indoor Volleyball and Cycling. At home, Lee covered the Canadian Football League for 17 years and called the play-by-play of three Grey Cup Championships in 2005, 2006 and 2007 - the highlight being the memorable 2005 overtime championship between Montreal and Edmonton. He was also CBC’s play-by-play voice on western national games of Hockey Night in Canada from 2007-2014. Lee has won multiple broadcasting awards, including 2 Geminis (now Canadian Screen Awards), 2 ACTRAs and 2 silver medals at the New York Festivals. His play-by-play commentary of women’s hockey at Sochi 2014, included Team Canada’s dramatic come-from-behind overtime victory over the USA in the gold medal game. The broadcast won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Live Sports Event. His commentary of Athletics at the 2016 Rio Olympics earned him a nomination for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Sports Play-by-Play.
