• It's much more than just a handout about what children learned
• Aim to partner with parents, because they will always trump the influence of the church
• Recognize that parents have 3,000 hours in a year at home vs. the church with about 40 hours

 Think Strategically

• What's the best way to connect with families in your area?
• Provide tools on their devices (e.g., Parent Cue app)
• Look at the horizon so you don't get stuck as leaders
• Be willing to engage in culture (e.g., check out what kids are watching on YouTube)
• Make sure everyone plays well and prays together

Tell Volunteers

• What you do matters!
• We can't do it without you
• You add so much value with the amazing gifts and talents you have to offer

Leader Tips

• You can't over-value or over-appreciate a volunteer
• Find fun ways to encourage (e.g., randomly show up where they're serving and surprise them with something fun)
• Keep your volunteers guessing about how you are going to appreciate them
