This podcast takes us back to a programme recorded over a decade ago with Phil Crowter not long before he died. Presented by Derek French, Phil takes us through the whole of Mark's gospel, covering material he published in the first Pray Prepare Preach series. 

In this episode Phil looks at the Pharisees and their attitude to Jesus. They were dedicated to avoiding uncleanness, but they were hypocrites and were more committed to human traditions rather than God's commands. How do human traditions cancel out God's law? God calls us to true worship, and we need to see the difference between Scripture and tradition. Jesus hates it when we pretend, and he hates it when we let go of God's commands.
