Our guest on this 29th episode is David W. Teeter, Esq., a matrimonial and family attorney for 18 years admitted to the New York and California Bar. David concentrates his practice on the following matters: divorce, child custody and support, maintenance and alimony, and pre-nuptial agreements. David began his legal career practicing criminal defense, first at the San Diego Public Defender’s office and then at the Nassau County Legal Aid Society, Criminal Defense Division.
When David transitioned to private practice, he gravitated toward matrimonial law because he found the work more rewarding. Yes, people going through a divorce are emotional, and David enjoyed helping his clients solve their problems. David sees matrimonial practice as putting the pieces of the puzzle together so that clients may build their new life. When people first come to meet with David, they are at a very low point. While it might get worse before it gets better, it will get better. Not every problem is easy, not every problem is solved quickly. But most cases settle, and David works very hard to find a solution that works well for his clients.
