Happy New Year! We’ve closed the book on 2019 and the yet-to-be-written pages of 2020 lay ahead of us. Around Dayspring, we are excited to see what God has in store for us as we walk together, following Jesus this year! We’re kicking off 2020 with a 4-week introduction to our brand new discipleship strategy. This Sunday, we’ll be taking a look at what spiritual growth ISN’T, and defining what it really IS. It’s vital that we’re all on the same page as we move forward in our spiritual growth. Each of us is on our own unique, individual journey with God, but we walk together as brothers and sisters in Christ, encouraging, challenging, and supporting one another. In order to do that effectively, we need to start with a common understanding of what we mean when we talk about spiritual growth and becoming spiritually mature. And that’s the goal…that we would all be taking steps toward spiritual maturity. My steps this year will most likely look different from yours. But what matters is that each of us takes steps toward becoming more of who God is calling us to be.
If you are looking for a place to grow in your faith and relationship with Jesus, I invite you to visit us at Dayspring Fellowship. Our church family gathers on Sundays at 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. We have fantastic programming for kids of all ages, as well as opportunities for adults to connect in authentic community. You can find more information about Dayspring on our website, as well as by visiting our Facebook page or YouTube channel. I encourage you to make this the year that you say “yes” to pursuing Jesus.
