MESSAGE SUMMARY:
The Prophet Isaiah, in Isaiah 2:4, tells us that: “He {God} shall judge between the nations, and shall decide disputes for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.”. From this passage, we learn that the Messiah would not only teach the law of God; but, also, He would come to judge. As expressed in 2 Timothy 4:1: “I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living {quick} and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom . . . be ready in season and out of season . . .”. We know that God’s Judgement will always provide us Justice; but we pray for God’s Mercy, which we don’t deserve.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM RIGHTEOUS IN GOD’S EYES. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21).
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): 2 Timothy 4:1-8; Matthew 12:36-37; 2 Thessalonians 1:5; Psalms 60:1-12.
