Jeannette Linfoot, Inspirational Women of the Year and Property Powerhouse..

 

This week Laura interviewed Jeannette Linfoot, a truly incredible lady who Laura has had the pleasure of getting to know over the last few months.

Jeannette is an experienced and very highly regarded senior executive, property investor, and board advisor with over 25 years’ global professional experience across the travel industry. Prior to her senior engagements with organisations such as TUI, Thomas Cook, First Choice, and Saga, where she was CEO of the Travel Division, Jeannette graduated from University with a 1st class BA Hons degree in Economics & Management Studies, before starting her career in UK Government, as an Economist.

Jeannette now has a portfolio of businesses, covering property investing, board advisory, and business mentoring. The breadth of her experience in running large and small businesses, mergers & acquisitions, international expansion, strategic development, and investing, along with her ‘down to earth’ approach, makes for a unique combination.

With an impressive track record in building and optimising high performing, culturally-diverse teams, underpinned by inspirational leadership and vision, Jeannette is a passionate advocate for diversity across all organisational levels. Truly diverse teams and gender-balanced executive boards provide superior customer experiences, more fulfilling career opportunities, and optimised financial results for shareholders.

Working with individuals and businesses to develop, shape, and drive forward their strategy, Jeannette brings an impartial perspective to any situation, which, combined with practical action-based solutions, delivers tangible results.

As a mentor, Jeannette has supported and empowered both male and female colleagues, direct reports and clients to unlock, explore and achieve their full potential. Indeed, as a direct result of Jeannette’s interventions, many of her ‘mentees’ have graduated on to executive board-level positions.

Alongside her direct engagements, Jeannette is also an active Mentor for the Odgers & Berndtson / UK Hospitality mentoring program, where she has very effectively supported & coached women throughout the travel, leisure and hospitality sector. Jeannette is also a judge for Everywoman in Travel, which celebrates and raises the profile of high achieving women across the sector.

Jeannette’s broader contribution to her industry has been formally and publicly recognised. Not only has she been inducted into the Travel industry ‘Hall of Fame’, but she also won the Omega prize for 'Businesswoman Of The Year’ and was subsequently acknowledged as ‘One Of The Most Influential Women in Travel’ by the Association of Women Travel Executives.

This Week Jeannette Shares her story on how she has become multiple business owner and how she manages to run the business effectively whilst still giving back to others. Jeannette is a mentor and is passionate about mentoring women into senior board positions in the travel industry a sector Jeannette spends the majority of her career and still does to this day, although she now runs a business for business acquisition in the travel sector.
