13.2: Ramadan with Sis 'Adawiyah

This week, we are extremely blessed to have Sister Marilyn @ Nur Sara 'Adawiyah with us sharing her story. Initially planning to proceed with marriage as a non-muslim, Sister 'Adawiyah only intended to seek Islamic knowledge to further her understanding. However, this intention brought her on a journey of a lifetime from acquainting herself with convert sisters and eventually making her decision to become a Muslim after several enlightening interactions.

Her story reminds us of that the plan of Allah swt is so intricate that no one comes into our lives for no reason. Everyone who Sister 'Adawiyah met in her journey played irreplaceable roles in the most important decision of her life. We reflect on how her journey is an example of the Decree of Allah SWT, the best of Planners. In the verse in Surat Al ‘Anfal, “They plan, and Allah plans, surely, Allah is the best of Planners.”
