I feel like the plane crashed, and as I walk through the wreckage, I realise that I am the only person left on this earth. I try to talk to the puffins, and the seagulls, but they don’t even know my name. The bars are wet, but I am dry. I can feel the emptiness rising. My collarbone is the lip from whence the world quenches their thirst. A slight ache below the neck.
