Today we are going to talk about diabetic foot disease and why people with diabetes are losing their legs. You know there are blood vessels that carry good blood and there are vessels which carry bad blood. The one that is carrying good blood is called artery. People with diabetes develop blocks in the blood vessels in their legs, thats why they develop gangrene. Gangrene by which we mean is death of the tissue. This is more common with people with diabetes, people with blood pressure, people with high cholesterol and most importantly if someone smokes or uses tobacco in any form they develop arterial blocks.
