True Crime
On July 19, 2005, PFC LaVena Johnson was found dead in a tent during the Iraq War. But this is not a case of enemy combatants or friendly fire, this is a case of a possible cover-up by the United States Department of Defense. Initially ruled a suicide via a self-inflicted gunshot wound, LaVena's death seems more consistent with foul play than a psychologically distraught soldier. In the first part of this two-parter, we discuss the ballistics and crime scene photos from LaVena's death investigation. Do you believe she committed suicide or do was it something much more devious?
