The Bridegroom has come through the wilderness and has come to the wedding day. This is the day that Revelation speaks of when it says " Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come." Carried along in a palanquin the Bride and Bridegroom are enveloped in love. At the height of poetic language, the interior of this carriage is said to be "paved with love".
