The Suicide Prevention Movement
Health & Fitness:Mental Health
After losing her son to suicide in 2012, Patti went through a 6-year grieving process that brought her to the brink of making a plan to take her own life . . .
“Once I found that plan no longer scared me, I knew I needed to find a way forward. The last thing I wanted to do was put my friends and family through the same ordeal I'd been through.”
Patti found her salvation in Personal Development. She read one book after the other and it wasn't until Patti hired her first coach that she really started to make big changes in her life.
What came out of that relationship lead Patti to her mission and her why:
“I decided to pursue life coaching as a way to help other people find themselves through Connection, Meaning, and Healing and as a measure against Suicide. I believe in having hard conversations with everyone because everyone is susceptible to emotional upheaval and discord and I fully believe in the power of cultivating self-love to heal. I believe the importance of having mental health and emotional well-being conversations in every household cannot be understated. I only wish I had known this when my son was young so I could open the dialogue along with the talks we had about sex, drugs, alcohol, etc.”
