Main Topic:
Direct comic book to film adaptations! From the Watchmen film (and now the animated version) to The Killing Joke and Logan, comic book films that attempt to recreate a particular story from the comics on the big screen are all the rage these days. How important is it that the film studios stay as closely as possible to the source material in order to tell these stories? Is a good adaptation simply a slave to the source material, or can it still be good if the story is modified for modern audiences - or for the different medium it's being presented in? We'll talk about all that, plus the most - and least - successful comic to film adaptations of all time.
