Episode 18: Follow Your Commitments, Not Your Passions

In this episode of the Jerry & Jacobe Podcast, hosts Jerry and Jacobe discuss why you should follow your commitments rather than your passions. Passion can fade, but your commitments get you to your destination!

• After playing football for Air Force, Jacobe made a run at getting into the NFL by working out 3 times a day for a whole year.
• Jacobe’s attempt at getting into the NFL taught him what real commitment looks like, though a lockout got in the way of his dream.
• The trick to becoming successful in real estate is knowing where to find the deals, which is harder than it looks.
• Jerry markets to probate and estate sales, tax delinquent, absentee owners, and pre-foreclosures to find motivated sellers.
• After getting your list of leads, it’s time to make contact, whether that’s through direct mail or other avenues.
• Make sure that you are aware of local regulations regarding how you can reach out to motivated sellers.
