Bio: 

Jay Bachochin is a family man in the state of Wisconsin. He is a graphic designer, cinematographer and film editor. Jay founded The Wisconsin Paranormal Investigators in 2007 to investigate and research UFOs and Ghosts. Since 2014 he has been on a solo quest searching for The Wisconsin Sasquatch in southeast Wisconsin. In 2019, Jay had produced, filmed, edited and directed his documentary 'Finding Jay' streaming on Amazon Prime and available on Blu ray. 

 

GROWING UP: 

Jay has been interested in the paranormal since he was old enough to hold an interest. Jay was raised on Creature Features back in the early 70's. He just loved "anything" that was supernatural. It wasn't until 1979 when he witnessed something paranormal first hand and saw the most amazing display of a well lit flying object above their house in Lindenhurst, IL. What did his brother, sister and my mom see that night? They could all say it was a UFO, but until this day they still can't explain what we saw. However, it was fascinating to watch these lights move in the night sky over a total of :20 minutes. 

 

Throughout Jay’s life he has experienced many encounters that didn’t make sense. Jay experienced a 5 second black-out when he was 10 years old. The black-out didn't only happen to Jay at that time, but also his younger friend he was with at the time. This 5 second black-out was the most bizzare thing he can recall from childhood. How can 2 people share the same black-out? 

 

He has witnessed many different unidentified flying objects near his hometown and his current residence over the years. 

 

Since 2013, Jay has been investigating The Wisconsin Sasquatch and Dogman. He has had several sightings and has collected over 5 years worth of data. 

 

Jay believes that we are not alone in our universe but not alone in the woods. Another race of alien beings? A greater force beyond comprehension? Worm-holes? Time scapes? Parallel universes? 

 

About WPI Hunts the Truth 2007-2014 

 

WPI Hunts the Truth was established in March 2007 by Jay Bachochin and his wife Katie due to their love and passion of the paranormal. They were both so intrigued by the paranormal evidence they’ve seen in their lives that they actually took an interest in paranormal investigating as a husband/wife quest in 2006. In later March 2007, they founded The Wisconsin Paranormal Investigators along with the help of some very close friends that shared the similar passion. They all believed there is more to our everyday normal lives. Do ghosts really exist? Is it simply suggestive thought or mass hysteria? They needed to find the answers for themselves. That is how their mission Hunt the Truth was born. In 2014 they combined their organizations abbreviations and mission statement to simplify who they are and what they do. WPI Hunts the Truth researches fringe science, cryptozoology creatures, urban legends, unidentified aerial phenomena, conspiracy theories and the ghost phenomena. Beginning in 2007 they’ve had numerous investigations requested by home and business owners claiming to be experiencing paranormal activity. While they have conducted many private investigations, they have also been to notable locations such as Kenosha’s Rhode Opera House, the Illinois State Beach Resort in Winthrop Harbor, and the famous Mansfield, Ohio State Reformatory, which was featured in the film ‘Shawshank Redemption.’ They’ve been featured speakers at local events such as Zombie Con in Milwaukee, Chicago Ghost Con and out-of-state speakers at the PA Bigfoot Camping Adventure. They have been featured on TMJ4 Milwaukee as well as Wisconsin’s Channel 12 News, Darkness Radio with Dave Schrader, Beyond the Edge with Eric Altman, ‘The Hidden Truth?’ documentary, ‘Finding Jay’ documentary 5/19 and featured in the book "Picture Yourself Capturing Ghosts on Film: Step-by-Step Instruction for Documenting the Paranormal with Photography and Video" 

 

Most notable is the investigation of a decade long 'unsolved mystery' in 2010. The mystery of several young college men drowning in the Mississippi River accompanied by a documentary called THE HIDDEN TRUTH? 

 

Team members come and go in the paranormal field. There has been a forever revolving door of friends that came in and out of WPI. The full team branched off in later 2014 to create their own paranormal team. All that remained was WPI Hunts the Truth original founders Jay and Katie Bachochin. While Katie has taken a back seat from investigations, she still holds her interest. Jay Bachochin is now the solo investigative researcher under the organization he founded: The Wisconsin Paranormal Investigators. He had halted his pursuit in investigating ghosts with a full team and refocused solely on investigating The Beast of Bray Road and The Wisconsin Bigfoot.
