Hello DDT listeners. This week Macie dives into the very deeply disturbing Tuskegee Experiments. These studies began in 1932 at a time when there was no known cure for the STI syphilis. With the promise of free medical care, 600 African American men in Macon County Alabama were recruited for the study which aimed to look at the full progression of the disease.
Then Naomi shares about the horrific unsolved murder of Amber Hagerman. Her disappearance and death led to the creation of the Amber Alert system which to date has helped return over 1000 children home.
