The universe aligns the right people and some of those people stick with you long after that initial meeting. Today's guest Consolee Nishimwe and I met and were fitted at a dinner party almost 6 years ago. We had a short conversation and that conversation stuck with me over the years.
Consolee discussed her survival and resilience from the 1994 Rwanda genocide that murdered close to a million Tutsis in 3 months. Think about that for a moment!
Come join us in hearing some of her journey BUT also of her resilience and how the power of love flows through her today. This episode is one of inspiration for all to gain some seeds of knowledge. She's spoken at the United Nations and was chosen by SAFE magazine as one of the 50 Global Heroes who have worked on Women's rights. While there are genocides in the world we must all make the efforts to share their stories.
