Are we architects or gardeners? Do we plan our next step or just go blindly on? This week, Garvin and I ponder on various aspects of storytelling, relating our experiences of our garden to the concepts of being architects designing within the limitations of space and budget or just plough on without any ideas of how things will turn out, going on what nature shapes our garden into. There are a lot of writers who will take both paths. Some are still long in the forest, unable to find their way out, while others have mapped out a route knowing exactly where they intend to end up. So, what are you? An architect or gardener? Or can the gardener be an architect and the architect get lost in his designs?
