We've looked at the Passover Seder and Jesus' time in the Garden of Gethsemane, and now the scourging He experienced because of judgment of the Jewish people. Now He is taken back where the Roman guards further taunt and torture Him, dressing him in rags and adorning him with a massive thicket of thorns on His head (as a crown), mocking Him as He's brought back out to the Jewish people by asking "here is your king, what should I do with him?" The people reject Him and cry out for crucifixion. Let's look at the pain Jesus would be experiencing and how truly strong He was to push off saving or healing Himself but allowing it to continue so He could be the ultimate sacrifice when He was finally crucified.
