Our culture tells boys to “toughen up… and…don’t cry.” So when boys encounter sexual abuse they believe it shows weakness to speak out and talk about their suffering.

Anthony Sgherza currently serves as strength coach and athletic trainer at XIP Training Systems. He most recently served as exercise and sport science program director and professor of instruction in the Department of Kinesiology at Temple University 2017 – 2020. Anthony also worked at NYU as a physical therapist and athletic trainer.
