Less access to capital: Studies consistently show that Black women are disproportionately denied business loans and funding, or given smaller amounts at higher interest rates. Systemic racism and sexism: These show up in everything from banking to licensing to how we’re perceived as business owners. Support networks: White women more often have access to generational wealth, connections, or even mentorship structures that many Black women simply do not.
