I had the pleasure of sitting down with my new friend, Nathan McLaughlin.
Nathan is one third of the ownership group behind three great restaurants in Edmonton, The Next Act Pub, MEAT and Pip (there's a 4th owner of Pip).
Nathan is one of the most talented chefs in Edmonton, which has helped make a winning formula for the "three dips," when it comes to opening a successful restaurant. It doesn't hurt that they are all great friends and wonderful people.
He was kind enough to share his story with me about how he went from a chef who was struggling with debt and his place in the industry, to become a very successful restauranteur in Edmonton. He's also a huge Oilers fan.
Go check out all three of their restaurants on 104th street, just North of Whyte Avenue. You won't be disappointed.
