Dates, Mates and Babies with the Vallottons
Society & Culture:Relationships
This Episode is the first in a short series that the Vallottons are calling "Foundations for Relational Health." They unpack the idea that what is "normal" for one person is different to what's "normal" to the next person. Everyone approaches their relationships according to their own personal presets based on the culture you were raised in. Most of us feel that life is the way it is because of the different decisions we've made, but the truth is that MUCH of where we're at today has to do with what happened to them as kids. That's not our fault, but it is our responsibility to understand where we've come from and make adjustments if necessary. Where did you come from and how did you acquire your list of presets? Answers to these questions will help you understand how you experience yourself and others inside of the context of relationships. Jason and Lauren unpack their own examples of the implications of different "normals" inside of friendship and marriage.
