All too often when I am talking to someone or doing something, my mind is somewhere else. It is thinking of the next thing, thinking what to say, what to do, and more. Then, I'm off and running to that next thing.
Last year I noticed Stockton would turn and wave every time I dropped him off at school. It was important to him that I see him before he walked in and waved back. I vowed to do better. I could give him a few more seconds before I went on with the rest of the day.
