With the return to the office delayed indefinitely and the talk turning to the employees coming to the office on a limited basis or only when necessary, there is an undercurrent of “how are we going to manage these people?”
This goes to a far extreme of employers considering software so they can “check in” on their employees at their desk which is disturbing on many levels.
Are people that unoriginal? Is this mid-management realizing they are no longer needed if employees have autonomy?
