Diversity
Today, I’d like to share my personal story of living in a international couple’s relationship. Diversity has always been part of my life. Growing up in Switzerland with its multiple language regions and with a French grandpa, a grandma that grew up in Malaysia and Australia, and cousins living in South Africa, different cultures have always been present. As a family, we’ve travlled the world and my parents were never shy to show us both poverty and the most incredible architectures. Very young we’ve learned that not everyone thinks, feels, and acts like us. This open-mindedness is probably the greatest gift my family has given me on my journey. Living in Shanghai, New York, Stockholm, and Zurich broadened my horizon. Now, I’m married to a Swedish Chinese medical doctor and embrace the multinational relationship we have. It can be challenging at times, lost in translation…. But never ever boring.
