I had the pleasure of chatting with Blanca, a.k.a Rumia, at the end of 2019. She is a talented singer-writer from Portugal/Spain who is now based in Berlin. This Island Rhythm innovator from Cabo Verde toured for many years with the great Cesária Évora, and his debut album called "D'Alma" was classed as one of the best album of 2018 by World Music Charts Europe.
