Drinking a glass of water when you wake up helps rehydrate your body after sleeping. Our bodies are approx 60% water. While we are sleeping, our bodies are losing water through breathing, sweat and urine etc. So it makes sense to top them back up when we wake up and then keep them topped up regularly during the day to help them perform at their peak performance.
