In August 1993, seven hikers ventured into Siberia’s remote Khamar-Daban mountains, but only one of them would make it out alive.According to the survivor, her companions began collapsing one after another, suffering violent convulsions, breathing problems and horrifying physical symptoms as chaos swept through the group. Their bodies remained exposed on the mountainside for nearly three weeks before a helicopter crew finally spotted them, beginning an investigation that would struggle to make sense of what happened. Lori Poland - Surviving Abduction

Three year old Lori Poland vanished from her Colorado neighbourhood in August 1983, leaving behind only a pair of pants, terrified witnesses, and the description of an orange car disappearing down the street. For three agonizing days, police hunted for the man who had taken her while Lori remained trapped miles away at the bottom of a remote outhouse pit, injured, hungry, and completely unable to escape. Her being found alive came only by chance and it would lead investigators toward the man responsible, but identifying Lori's abductor was only the beginning of a case filled with disputed evidence, a controversial plea deal, and a sentence that would ignite public outrage. On May 16, 1937, Laetitia Toureaux boarded an empty first class carriage on the Paris Métro and, less than ninety seconds later, was found with a knife buried deep in her neck. No one had seen her killer enter or escape that train car. The attacker seemed to simply vanished in an impossible murder scenario. But wondering why she was killed, police dug into Laetitia's life, and they discovered that the quiet factory worker had another side to her, one involving secret surveillance, informants, and some of the most dangerous political circles in France. What began as an impossible murder on a moving train soon became a mystery tangled in espionage, hidden weapons, and the possibility that Laetitia had learned something powerful people wanted kept secret. At sixteen years old, Alex Skeel believed he had found his first love in Jordan Worth. She was an intelligent and ambitious young woman who seemed to offer him the a life and family. But behind closed doors, that relationship descended into years of control and escalating violence as Alex became increasingly isolated from his family, deprived of food and subjected to attacks with bottles, hammers, knives and boiling water.By the summer of 2017, the once healthy, football loving young man was severely underweight, covered in untreated injuries and burns, and trapped inside a home where even seeking medical treatment had become nearly impossible. Estibaliz Carranza was known as the friendly owner of a neighborhood ice cream shop in Vienna, Austria. She had built a successful business, dreamed of becoming a mother, and gave those around her little reason to believe anything was wrong. But behind the ordinary routines of everyday life, her relationships were quietly falling apart, and the people closest to her would soon begin disappearing without a trace. Between 2008 and 2010, Estibaliz murdered her ex husband, and ex boyfriend, before dismembering their bodies with a chainsaw and concealing their remains beneath her ice cream shop.
