Rune Walk Part 5: Hagalaz, Naudhiz, and Valkyrie Hildr

Welcome back nightbirds! On this episode, I'm rejoined by Lindsay Starke and Luis Galindo as we discuss the next two runes in our Rune Walk series. These runes are Hagalaz (hail) and Naudhiz (need). We talked about the personal trials that came along with spending two weeks with each of these runes, as well as the triumphs and understanding that came along with these struggles, We talked about the Norns, Gullveig, and the archetype of the witch. We talked about destruction and rebirth, need versus desire and how exploring these concepts can help us in our magical journey. We talked more about Norse cosmology as we see it, and the mysteries of time and space that present themselves when one journeys into these potent wells of gnosis that are the runes. Finally, we talked about the Valkyries themselves, who they are, and our experience with the valkyrie Hildr. Rune Walk Part 4: Gebo, Wunjo, and Valkyrie Skögul

Welcome back nightbirds! In this episode I'm rejoined by David Payne and Lindsay Starke as we continue our coverage of the year-long Rune Walk, where we are spending twelve months with the twenty-four runes of the Elder Futhark and the thirteen valkyries of the Grimnismal. On this episode, we discussed the runes Gebo (Gift) and Wunjo (Joy) and recounted our experiences with fierce, spear-wielding Skögul. We talked about some traditional meanings of these runes, along with our personal gnosis that emerged spending weeks with them and appkying them to the day to day of our lives, We talked about the healing that has come for some of us on this walk. We also talked about the importance of reciprocity and hospitality to these spirits, how to be generous without giving too much of ourselves, the wish as the magical intention, the ideals we reach for when striving to attain the highest version of our own fate, time fuckery, crushing your enemies, and so much more. Rune Walk Part 3: Raido, Kenaz, and Valkyrie Skeggjöld

Welcome back Nightbirds! On this episode I'm rejoined by Lindsay Starke, David Payne, and Luis Galindo as we talk about the third month of our ongoing rune walk. Here we discuss the runes Raido and Kenaz and our experience spending two weeks of our lives with each of these runes. We talk about some traditional meanings of these runes, as well as our personal interpretations both before and after spending time with them on this walk. We also dive into our experiences with the Valkyrie called Skeggjöld or Axe-Time as we called on, journeyed with, and spoke to her. We talked about keeping the fire going and avoiding burnout, the esoteric meaning of the road in Northern cosmology, and more. This episode also focused heavily on themes of necromancy and time travel/manipulation. We also discuss how to flow with the journey and not second guess ourselves while meditating with these runes and encountering these beings. Where does one person's experience end and the other begin? Our experiences and visions bled together more and more throughout this month, and it's a fascinating discussion as we dig into that. Here we discuss the runes Thurisaz and Ansuz and our experience spending two weeks of our lives with each of these runes. We talk about some traditional meanings of these runes, as well as our personal interpretations both before and after spending time with them on this walk. We also dive into our experiences with the Valkyrie called Mist as we called, journeyed, and spoke with her. We go deeper into Norse cosmology and the gnosis we've been receiving about these spirits. We talk about Odin and Gullveig and what it means to step into their shoes, wading into this current, in order to obtain the fabled mead of poetry.
