BioA University of Georgia Graduate- Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication graduate in 2011, Brandon went on to co-found The College Moving Company (later, Lift It: Moving and Storage) with his brother, Chris.
Seeking new opportunities, Brandon jumped on board with a growing restaurant franchise, Zaxby's, where he served in various capacities for the better part of six years. With his main emphasis on culture, Brandon was able to take one of his stores from under-performing to #2 in the entire country out of 800+ locations and is not set to begin the process of hopefully becoming a Licensee.
Interview Synopsis
In this episode, Brandon and I talk about our upbringing and how that led him to pursue a career in the QSR/Fast Casual industry as well as what he learned in his youth that has served him well in his endeavors.
We talk why his people, above all else, are the main reason he was able to completely turn around a store that was consistently problematic to #2 in the entire system.
We wrap up talking about what it's like to be in the restaurant business and some of the behind-the-scenes aspects that many would not know about prior to having run a restaurant before.
