The war in Afghanistan is over, but we’re still sorting through its effects—both on the world and on America itself. Things feel...tense. For many reasons, the past twenty years have seen Americans divide and dehumanize each other across the political divide. It’s a big problem on both the right and the left. Sometimes it feels like everyone is just waiting for something bad to start.

With us today is independent journalist Mike Giglio. Giglio is a Spain based war correspondent and journalist who has spent years of his life in war zones. Now he’s come home and is turning his eye towards domestic matters. His latest in The Intercept, the one that caught my eye, is Blowback: The Forever Wars Are Coming Home.
