Join me in this episode of The Radio Vagabond with my kids, Amanda and Clara, where we uncover myths about Japan.
Before I start the episode, there’s one thing that I later found out we get wrong. It’s the thing about using phones on the trains. We say that they do use phones, but we should have said, “yes, they use phones, but never ever will you see a Japanese on a phone call on a train”. According to a local friend in Tokyo, this is not only frowned upon but even illegal. But it’s okay to look at your screen, be on social media and answer emails. Just no talking.
This one was first released in October 2017. And with that: Welcome to Flashback Friday.
