Heyo Zengineers!!
Here we are again, at the precipice of adventure and intrigue. This week, we're kicking off a series of episodes on Climate Change and all that comes along with it. And, when we say ALL, we truly mean it. We're gonna give you a lot of different angles over the coming months so that we can all really appreciate what's going on, what already happened, what's NOT going on, what didn't happen, and what might or might not be going on in the future.
These are complicated questions, and to even begin a conversation about Climate Change we really do have to answer the big question, WTF is it? You probably have your own images that pop to mind ... storms, trash, smoke stacks, recycling, clouds of noxious gasses, overpopulation, traffic, farms, deforestation, failing reefs, etc. etc. etc... but what is REALLY affecting our climate? How do know what to focus on and what matters, right now?
Well a clear definition will help. That'll provide some context and it will then inform our future episodes. If you think the answer is simple, you're in for a surprise. Climate Change is the culmination of everything that's modern in our society. If it's come into existence in the last 150 years, then it's probably part of the conversation. It's a doozie, but, like we try to do here, we're headed towards a clear, concise, consolidated perspective from which we can explore deeper.
Strap in, cuz this adventure is just getting started. We think this is an interesting conversation, a powerful conversation, and perhaps one of the most important conversations to be having right now. We hope you enjoy this first leg of the adventure with us.
