Of all the possible outcomes of finding out he had four holes in his heart, it seems unlikely that it would make Kevin Quinn a better runner. Yet that’s exactly what’s happened. Following the eight-hour repair operation in February 2016, Kevin has gone from strength to strength. He won the virtual New York City Marathon last year, and recently helped pace Steph Davis to an Olympic qualifying time at the British Olympic marathon trials. Kevin is the founder of Real Runners (realrunners.co.uk), which offers run coaching to individuals, schools and corporations, both in person and online.
