E73: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) [Eligibility Category BONUS Series]

Traumatic Brain Injuries are one of the hardest categories because that injury is one that is unseen to the naked eye. Many times behaviors and vision complications are just missed because this category requires a lot of medical knowledge.

Fortunately, there are a ton of resources for this category (especially in states like Colorado and Pennsylvania!) and anyone across the country can access resources and education from these states!

In this episode we: 

1. Use Colorado's eligibility checklist as an example to break down TBI

2. Talk about commonly missed opportunities for parent advocacy to get that effective IEP in this process

3. Talk about resources and frameworks that help the school IEP team not miss a need that your child may have!
