In this episode of the Golf in the Life of podcast, Will Robins discusses the best short game assessment for golfers looking to improve their scores. The assessment is so effective that the University of California’s golf team used it for their qualifying rounds. He interviews Mike Labauve, the creator of the short game assessment.
Mike explains how he came up with the assessment in 1989 and how it has helped countless golfers improve their game. He talks about the eight holes included in the assessment, which test a golfer’s ability to make short putts, long putts, chip shots, pitch shots, bunker shots, and wedge distances.
The assessment also includes a scoring system that adds up to a par of 72.
Will emphasizes how the assessment can help golfers identify their weaknesses and improve their scores.
