1. Make a list of the struggles that affect your child's learning.
2. Write down things that could help your child with these struggles.
3. Bring documentation of diagnoses.
4. Help the 504 team get to know your child.
5. Make sure that plan is complete and specific.
6. Invite a friend to attend with you or ask your spouse to take notes during the meeting or audio record the meeting.
7. Be prepared to advocate for your child.
