Again and again musicians tell us that they play for free. An article in the Dutch newspaper NOS says that even the world famous Concertgebouw in Amsterdam does not pay artists for lunchtime concert. Simon Reinink argues it with the opportunity for artists to gain concert experience. In this episode of Be Your Own Manager, Bernhard Kerres makes a point that musicians and artists need to get paid for their work.
In other news, Bernhard introduces the new website dedicated to Johann Sebastian Bach's Cello Suites -> www.jsbachcellosuites.com. Cellist Marianne Dumas presents all her groundbreaking research and the background to her outstanding recording of the cello suites on that site.
